_www.ssat.org is the place to go for test dates and sites, tips, general information, and some free practice!!!!!
Test dates this year/season are above, including deadlines and a copy of the pdf file. For information on cost and other details, please visit ssat.org.
If your child plans on taking the test, I strongly recommend that you register with ssat.org as soon as possible.
PRACTICE
Ivy Global has some very effective computer based prep materials (for a price). However, they also have 100 % free practice at their website, located here.
Another good free practice site is here
VOCABULARY
A COMPLETE SET OF VOCAB WORDS is here: at Quizlet in flash card form. This may be overkill, consisting of 499 words.
The 100 most common words, which are a good idea to be at least familiar with, is located HERE
The words are also for the upper level of the exam. Unlike the math sections, however, there is not a tremendous difference between the levels in the verbal section.
We will continue to get you up to speed with the math concepts and skills, and cover tips and drills for the verbal. However, and I cannot emphasize this enough, if you want to do your best on this test, you MUST PRACTICE and do independent study, especially on the vocab words.
