Our studio has been inspired by the life of arthropods and their fantastic designs. Students developed studies of different forms in their sketchbooks studying characteristics of insects, arachnids and other animals. Through observation, practice and individual designs the class created a series of buildings and structures. Connecting with our unit of perspective and the studies based on Leonardo Da Vinci and the Renaissance art our students created a city with multiple sections. During the process of work one point perspective had a special emphasis in the composition of the project. The mural is a mixed media collage with oil pastels, chalk pastels and color paper.
