I apologize for being remiss with our blog. I can only say that my schedule has been quite challenging lately. In any event, here are our current events and announcements:
Class Presentation: Review of our Perspectives Unit
On Monday at our All School Gathering, Grades 4 and 5 will discuss their unit. The 5th grade has prepared a short skit in addition to talking points and some of their favorite facts and concepts from the unit. Presentation time is likely to be around 9:45-10 am to accommodate visitation schedules. The ASG begins at 9:00 am.
New UNIT:
This week, we have begun our unit on electromagnetism. Please visit the IB page for details . This is a fun and highly informative unit that will give students the opportunity to learn all about electricity principles and application. Theory will be stressed, but their will be substantial focus on hands-on, practical construction and manipulation of components and circuitry. Sustainable energy will also be explored.
Our Class Trip and Celebration
Last Thursday, Anne Fritzsche was kind enough to accompany us on an excursion to Clarke House. There, we enjoyed a 2.5 hour tour and series of historical anecdotes from the curator of Clarke House and the Princeton Battlefield.
After that, we had lunch and treated the kids to some bowling as a reward for sustained demonstration of excellent citizenship in our community. Thank you, Anne!
