We had fun this week discussing ourselves, our family, and our classroom. Next week we will continue our IB unit of inquiry. The central idea is: Every day I learn more about myself. This unit falls under the transdisciplinary theme, Who We Are?
A very important part of our day is play. I love to watch and listen to the students as they pretend, interact, and collaborate.
Arrangements are a form of temporary artwork. This week we added other parts to our play dough and we arranged shells. Students explored the artistic possibilities inherent in the shape, color, and size of pieces.
We observed the Chrysalis and Adult stages of a Monarch Butterfly.
Remarkable things are happening in preschool. We released Monarch Butterflies. Observed the Chrysalis of a Monarch Butterfly. Preschool is a place where we can dig in to learning about ourselves, our family, and our community. |
