We are so thankful for all of the love and support we receive from our Preschool Families. Thank you for taking the time to come and visit our class during our morning meeting and observing part of our lessons for the day. As we prepared for Parent's Day, the students took part in the act of stewardship making sure our spaces were extra ready for our guests. The students also made certain that we had a refreshing drink available for our family members. The sun brings light and heat, and helped to steep our sun tea for everyone to enjoy. The students prepared the sun tea by following the steps in the recipe and taking turns adding each ingredient. We enjoyed the process of making the sun tea, and hoped you enjoyed drinking it as well. If you were unable to partake in sipping our delicious tea, we have recipes available for you to enjoy at home!
Today, the students were scientists as they observed bones and X-rays using their senses to draw conclusions and make predictions. We reviewed how scientist use their 5 senses for scientific observations, and then passed out their science journals to chronicle their findings.
As we close our blog for this week, I would like to invite all of you to our Thanksgiving Ceremony on Friday, November 18 at 10:30. All of the children from the Toddler Class thru grade 5 participate in this wonderful event singing songs on stage and having a fun time. We hope to see you there! Dismissal is at noon that day, as it is the beginning of our Thanksgiving Vacation. As a special treat, the Soup Dads cook a delicious soup the night before to be served to the students during their snack time. If you are interested in becoming a Soup Dad, there is a sign up sheet on the table in the front entrance of our school. If you have any questions please let us know.
Also, if you happen to have the lights sticks from the lanterns left over from the Bon Fire, please return them to our class whenever you have the opportunity.
Thank you all again!
